Mario's Galactic Adventure Trailer Is Here, Unveiling New Characters Rosalina & Bowser Jr. Voices
Nintendo alongside Illumination unveiled the initial complete preview for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on Wednesday. This occurred during a Nintendo-focused broadcast that centered on the upcoming animated film.
Following up on the 2023 hit film The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this latest chapter will propel Mario to the outer limits of the universe. There, he will encounter a different royal figure and a formidable new rival in Bowser Jr., the son of the King of the Koopas.
An Interstellar Journey Inspired by Beloved Titles
Similar to the games from the Wii period that act as its source material, Mario will venture away from the cozy environment of the Mushroom Kingdom to journey through the cosmos. During his grand adventure, he will meet again some recognizable characters, for instance the Luma, a popular character from the original cinematic release.
Yet it looks like Mario and his brother Luigi will battle a different foe in the form of Bowser's angry little boy, who reportedly commands metallic abilities. Notably, the teaser for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is not exclusively centered on Galaxy-inspired imagery; it also features references to other beloved games like Super Mario Odyssey and Bowser's Fury.
Celebrity Voice Actors Reprise Roles and Welcome Newcomers
The feature will welcome back of the original voice cast, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
Fresh faces in the lineup for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are Brie Larson, who will portray Rosalina, and Benny Safdie, set to embody Bowser Jr. The casting was verified by the CEO of Illumination, Chris Meledandri.
