Paramount Skydance Set to Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Paramount Skydance plans to begin mass layoffs the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are likely, as the firm aiming to disclose full details in its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates suggested that Paramount was looking to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

Until December 2024, Paramount had about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 contract workers.

The organization has not yet commented on the matter.
