Two Men Formally Indicted with Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder after the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
